For me, design starts with curiosity understanding not just what users do, but why they do it. I zoom out before I zoom in, mapping how business goals, user behaviors, and operational realities connect. That broader view helps me make better choices, not just prettier screens. I don’t separate pixels from process. Whether it’s a banking dashboard or an internal tool, I design for the people behind the system the ones who use it, support it, and rely on it every day.

I’ve worked on several products from the ground up, and my focus is always the same find the one thing that truly matters, and make it work beautifully. I start by identifying the core user problem and testing assumptions quickly with product and engineering. An MVP, to me, isn’t about doing less it’s about doing what counts. Once it’s live, I measure, learn, and iterate fast to move it from “good enough” to genuinely valuable.

My process is straightforward understand, explore, validate, then refine. I begin by talking to users and stakeholders, digging into analytics, and defining clear success criteria. From there, I translate insights into structured ideas and test them early through prototypes or quick validations. Once the direction feels right, I move into detail working side-by-side with developers and PMs to make sure every part scales well. I don’t treat handoff as a finish line; I stay involved until it works the way it’s meant to.

How do you handle changing priorities or tight timelines?
Deadlines shift that’s part of real product work. When that happens, I focus the team on outcomes: what’s essential right now, and what can evolve later. I lean on design systems and reusable patterns to stay efficient without cutting corners on experience. If compromises are needed, I make sure everyone knows what we’re trading off and why so we can circle back and improve it later with context intact.
